Further Education Teachers’ Wellbeing: A Discussion of Equal Opportunities and Career Progression

This research examines the relationship between wellbeing, career aspirations and equal opportunities prospects among FE teachers support staff expectations. An online questionnaire asked further education (FE) to comment on items of: - Emotional Labour, Teachers’ Labour Strategy Burnout. Further Education also noted number of stressors they generally encountered. Although female experienced more stressors, their wellbeing was relatively higher than male teachers. Furthermore, for majority ethnic group (White British) The importance this is that an association made it influences choices make continual professional development (CPD). has consequences retention in colleges. Thematic analysis focus interviews suggests require investigation as well progression across ethnicities U.K.
